The Other Realm
This is the place that as long as you believe in God, you can see the end from the beginning. Read the book of Job and listen. Hear what the Spirit says. The exchange of ideas, perceptions and possibilities discussed between heaven and earth seems inconceivable. God and Satan discussed life.
I am going to describe this as a short one act play…because it hasn’t ended yet. First, you know where God is, seated on High. ‘Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. The LORD said to Satan, “Where have you come from?” Satan answered the LORD, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
This is why the bible describes the devil as a roaring lion seeking a life to devour.
Imagine…voluminous white clouds, an alabaster throne weaved with gold and silver threads…sparkling like diamonds. A majestic blue sky, the sun shines in the night sky, even a tinge of dark grey mist in the distance, red and white lightning flashes, the thunder rolls as each word is spoken, and smoke billows from the alter…over and over I reimagine this scene in my mind because His Word is alive.
Then, ‘The LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job? For there is no one like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, fearing God and turning away from evil.”
I mean it’s like they’re neighbors…chatting first thing in the morning. This happened and then that happened. What about this and that?
This makes you take inventory. Satan is not omnipresent, omniscient nor omnipotent. He is the rebellious tempter of man and tolerated by a God that has finalized his end, from the beginning – God found sin in him first.
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied.
“Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. “But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.”
I concluded. Nothing is new. Jesus was lead into the wilderness in the presence of beasts for 40 days and 40 nights tempted with that which he did not seek…led by God.
In the natural, Heaven seems so far from Earth. But, in the Spirit, it’s not so. Stay in that realm, God knows who You are…listen, be silent, and obey…in the end ‘thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’
